Transfer of Copyright Form

The author grants exclusively to Social Forces all rights now or hereafter protected by the copyright laws (common or statutory) of the United States and all foreign countries in all languages to the above named article, including all subsidiary rights. Social Forces grants to the author:

1. the right to make copies for the author's own teaching use
2. the right of republication in any book of which he or she is the author or editor, provided acknowledgment is made of the article's initial appearance in Social Forces and notice of publication is sent in writing to the journal
3. the right to use figures and tables in future publications, provided acknowledgment is made of their initial appearance in Social Forces

SUBSIDIARY RIGHTS AND COMPENSATION
The author will receive no monetary return from Social Forces for its publication of this material, but shall receive one free copy of the published journal in which the article appears.
